🎓 I’m PhDone! PhinisheD! 😁

On Sunday, I graduated from Stanford University with a PhD in Mechanical Engineering! 🤖

I’m deeply grateful to my advisor, Allison Okamura, and to the mentors who have guided and supported me along the way, Monroe Kennedy III, Karl Reid, and so many others that listing them all would make this post longer than my dissertation 🫣.

To my family, Paulette Palmer and Michael Palmer, and the village that raised me from coast to coast: thank you. And to the friends who kept me grounded throughout this journey, I couldn’t have done this without you.

As PhD students, we navigated a lot of challenges: COVID closures, late nights, missed holidays with family, cancelled or reduced funding, devaluing of our work, just to name a few.

I’m proud to be one of the 1010 PhD graduates in Stanford’s largest-ever doctoral class!
