🎉 PhD Defense Successfully Completed 🎉

I’m excited to share that, on Monday, April 28th, 2025, I successfully defended my doctoral dissertation titled “Assessment of Relocated Haptic Feedback in Virtual Environments” at Stanford University! This research journey has been both challenging and deeply rewarding.

🖥️ My work focused on the design, perception, and effectiveness of wrist-based haptic feedback, exploring how relocating tactile cues can effect task performance in virtual environments. I also discussed how this work may enable the design of next-generation virtual environments augmented with relocated haptic feedback.

I’m incredibly grateful for the support of my advisor, Allison Okamura, my committee, my labmates at CHARM, mentors, and everyone who contributed along the way.

❤️ Special thanks to my friends and family — your encouragement, patience, and belief in me made all the difference.

I’m looking forward to the next chapter (besides the ones I have to finish writing!) — and to continuing to shape the future of immersive technology through better, more intuitive haptic design.

Thank you to my committee!
Thanks for celebrating with me CHARM Lab!
